The last time anyone saw him, Crazy Homeless Guy (or CHG, as the locals started calling him) was dancing barefoot on top of a burnt-out car, shouting something about “cosmic burritos” and “the government stealing his toenails.” That was a week ago. Today, he was back — and somehow even weirder.

It started at sunrise, when Old Man Jenkins went to open his corner store. Right there, sprawled across the sidewalk like a human pretzel, was CHG. His beard was somehow both wet and on fire at the same time. In one hand, he clutched a shoelace tied to a perfectly normal pigeon. In the other, he held a crumpled paper crown covered in ketchup.

“I AM THE PIGEON KING!” CHG bellowed, waking up half the block. The pigeon didn’t seem thrilled with its new role, but it was too confused to fly away.

Before anyone could ask a single question, CHG started explaining — mostly to the sky — that the pigeons had told him the secrets of the universe. According to him, they knew where the city’s “hidden spaghetti vault” was buried, and they were willing to trade this knowledge in exchange for thirty bags of uncooked rice and one vintage Pokémon card.

Nobody knew what to do. People whispered about calling the police, but the last time that happened, CHG convinced the cops that he was the police, and they ended up apologizing to him. So instead, everyone just watched as CHG led his reluctant pigeon army (which was really just two pigeons and a squirrel wearing a sock) down the street, chanting, “PASTA FOR THE PEOPLE!”

Some say he’s harmless. Others say he’s a prophet. But everyone agrees on one thing — life is never boring when Crazy Homeless Guy is around.

And somewhere, beneath the sidewalk, a mysterious vault full of spaghetti waits to be found…
