"The Fortune Teller’s Warning"

It was just past midnight when the Crazy Homeless Guy returned to the alley behind the old gas station. Most people avoided him because of his wild eyes, his loud rants about alien squirrels, and his habit of talking to a rusty shopping cart like it was his best friend. But tonight was different. Tonight, someone was waiting for him.

Sitting cross-legged on a tattered blanket was a woman dressed in layers of scarves and beads, her fingers covered in rings that looked like they had been stolen from a pirate’s treasure chest. She called herself Madame Lulu, and she claimed to be a fortune teller — the real kind, not the kind that works at carnivals for tips.

The Crazy Homeless Guy squinted at her. “You’re not a hallucination, are you?”

Madame Lulu shook her head. “No, but you should probably stop drinking that alleyway rainwater.”

He shrugged and sat down across from her. “Alright, fortune lady. Tell me my future.”

She took his hands, closed her eyes, and immediately gasped. “You’re in danger,” she whispered.

The Crazy Homeless Guy grinned. “Lady, I live in a dumpster behind a bowling alley. Danger is my roommate.”

“No, no,” she said, voice trembling. “This is different. Something… something is coming for you. Something ancient. Something hungry.”

He blinked. “Is it the alien squirrels again?”

Madame Lulu shook her head. “Worse. Much worse.”

Before she could explain, a loud clang echoed from the street. The Crazy Homeless Guy jumped to his feet, grabbing his shopping cart like a shield. Madame Lulu vanished into the shadows, leaving behind only the scent of burned incense and something that smelled suspiciously like wet dog.

And from the corner of the alley, glowing red eyes blinked into existence.

The Crazy Homeless Guy took a deep breath, cracked his knuckles, and muttered, “Episode 3 just got interesting.”
